Questions and answers
Short answers to the questions we're asked most. If yours isn't here, email hello@fundraisingsystemaudit.com.
Buying
How much does it cost?
The Self Audit is £495 plus VAT (£594 with VAT). For a Guided Audit or a Full Audit, get in touch and we'll talk through what you need.
How do I pay?
By card on a secure Stripe checkout. You can also ask for an invoice against a purchase order.
We have a partner code. Where does it go?
Enter it at checkout.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in full, any time before you submit your answers, within 30 days of buying. After you submit, we don't refund unless we can't deliver for reasons within our control.
Can we upgrade from a Self Audit later?
Yes. Book a Guided Audit within 90 days of your report's release and the £495 (before VAT) comes off.
Taking the audit
How do I sign in?
With a code we email to the address you bought with.
How long does it take?
About 50 questions, one per screen. Most people take 30 to 45 minutes.
Do I have to finish in one go?
No. Your answers save as you go. Stop and come back whenever you like.
Can several people answer one Self Audit?
No. One person answers. The Guided Audit takes evidence from five to twelve people.
Who should answer?
Usually the director or head of fundraising, or whoever has the widest view of fundraising and how it links to the rest of the charity.
Can I use the keyboard?
Yes. Enter saves and moves on. Shift and Enter gives a new line. Letter keys pick an option.
Documents and data
Do we have to upload documents?
No. They make the report sharper, but none is required. A missing document is evidence too, and the report says what's missing.
What file types can I upload?
PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web pages and XML. We read the text. Each file can be up to 40 MB.
Can I upload our donor database?
Please don't. No names, contact details or giving records of individual donors. The audit doesn't need them.
When are our documents deleted?
30 days after your report is released.
Does AI write the report?
An AI model reads the evidence and drafts the report. The Force and overall scores are added up in code. An expert from Fundraiser In The Room reads every report in full before release.
The report
When will I get my report?
We aim to release it within ten working days of you submitting. We'll email you when it's ready.
What does it look like?
An A4 report you read on screen, one page at a time, and can download as a PDF. See the sample report for a full example.
Will it tell us how much money we're losing?
No. It describes where value is lost and why. It never puts a pound figure on it.
What if a score looks wrong to us?
Look at the evidence shown under it, and ask about it on screen. Thin evidence is capped and flagged, so check the How sure we are pages too.
After the report
Can I ask questions about my report?
Yes, on screen. Up to 30 questions a day and 200 in total.
How long can I see my report?
For 90 days after release. After that it drops out of view. Download the PDF to keep it.
How do I share it with our board?
Download the PDF. Our guide on taking it to your chief executive, finance director and board may help.
